July 5 & 6


Had to start with this shot. The others come later.


We left Toronto for Vancouver by flying over one of the Great Lakes.

We made our way downtown.







 

They were setting up for a film shoot. The movie and TV industry is big in Vancouver.




He wasn't being filmed. This is just what he wears.

Day 2 in Vancouver



Next day we were on a tour to the Capilano Park.

Can you spot him?


He weighs over 400kg.



They hibernate for over 150 days and don't eat, drink or use the bathroom during their hibernation. They do wake each day to walk around their den and stretch.









Both are males and were orphaned. They would have died as they had yet to learn how to hunt and hibernate.
